The Work Principle of the Shrink Sleeve Tunnel Machine
The operating principle of the shrink sleeve tunnel machine aligns with other heat shrink tunnel equipment, all of which transfer heat to the shrink film to envelop the product and complete packaging. Typically, the Flexshrink shrink sleeve tunnel machine employs the following operating principles.
Convection Heating (Hot Air)
This method incorporates multiple hot air guns within the heating tunnel. Their opposing airflow creates convection currents, directing heat directly onto the shrink film packaging of the products. Shrink sleeve tunnel equipment employing convection heating represents the most fundamental type among all shrink tunnels. It is highly suitable for packaging plants or beverage production facilities just starting their operations.
Steam Heating
These heating tunnels typically require a larger footprint and additional water storage, resulting in higher initial costs than other shrink sleeve tunnel types. However, they offer rapid heating and produce attractive packaging. They are not suitable for products that cannot be exposed to steam.
Radiant Heating

Measuring only about 1 meter in length, these compact tunnels typically feature roller conveyors and offer the widest variety of infrared heating configurations.
Large Shrink Tunnel
With a maximum length of 3m, this is the preferred choice for high-capacity production lines. It incorporates a cooling system to complete the shrink cycle in seconds, making it suitable for large beverage bottles and multi-row trayless packaging.
